Pierro

Pierro, also known as "The Jester," is the lead Harbinger and the first of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers in the game Genshin Impact, hailing from Snezhnaya. He serves as the director and the de facto leader of the organization. Once a royal mage from the fallen kingdom of Khaenri'ah, Pierro joined the Fatui after his homeland's destruction, pledging allegiance to the Tsaritsa, the Cryo Archon. He wears a mask, adopting a persona that mocks the world while attempting to rewrite the rules of destiny. Pierro possesses immense power and orchestrates many of the Fatui's grand schemes. Although he presents himself as calm and polite, his actions are fueled by a deep-seated resentment towards the world and a desire for revenge. He lived alongside the Traveler's sibling in Khaenri'ah and witnessed its destruction, further solidifying his resolve to change the world. Pierro's character is inspired by the Pierrot from Italian Commedia dell'arte, a sad clown figure often ridiculed and seen as a fool, which reflects his experiences and inner turmoil. He is responsible for recruiting many talented individuals who were ostracized by the world, bringing them into the Fatui to fight for his cause.
