Hroptatyr

In the enigmatic world of Genshin Impact, Hroptatyr is a character shrouded in mystery. Known as 'The Wise' of Khaenri'ah, his name is derived from one of Odin's monikers in Norse mythology, suggesting a profound depth of knowledge and wisdom. Hroptatyr was once among the elite of Khaenri'ah, tasked with averting a cataclysm alongside Dainsleif and others. However, he ultimately became one of the 'Five Sinners,' betraying Khaenri'ah and is believed to have played a significant role in its downfall. According to in-game lore, Hroptatyr acquired knowledge of runes and sacred words by hanging upside down from a tree, possibly leading Khaenri'ah to the forbidden knowledge. Hroptatyr's true motives and future role in the storyline remain a point of much speculation among players.
