Vedrfolnir is a mysterious and significant character in Genshin Impact, first mentioned in the Fontaine Archon Quest in Version 4.2. In the Version 4.7 Archon Quest "Bedtime Story," his identity is further revealed; he is Dainsleif's older brother and one of Khaenri'ah's "Five Sinners," known as "The Visionary." Vedrfolnir possesses the ability to see through the threads of fate and is believed to be connected to the prophecy tablets of Fontaine. After the fall of Khaenri'ah, he joined the Abyss Order. In Norse mythology, Vedrfolnir is an eagle perched atop the world tree, capable of observing all things, which aligns with his role as a 'Visionary' in the game. He is not a devout follower of any god but rather considers himself a 'Sinner,' holding a complex view of both the gods and fate. His cooperation with the Abyss Order and his underlying motivations remain a mystery within the game's storyline. He is also considered a key figure in the 'Loom of Fate' project, which aims to oppose the Heavenly Principles.
