Crucabena

Crucabena is a deceased character in Genshin Impact, formerly one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers known as 'The Knave' and the previous head of the House of the Hearth. Called 'Mother' by the children, she appeared kind but was actually cold and strict. Crucabena adopted orphans and trained them to become members of the Fatui. She valued strength above all, even encouraging the children to fight each other to become the 'King' and her successor. She was ultimately killed in a battle with Arlecchino (then known as Peruere). She used the Hydro element, but it's unclear whether it was through a Vision or Delusion. Crucabena's story is revealed in the animated short 'The Song Burning in the Embers', showcasing her past and the grim reality of the House of the Hearth.
