Marcel

Marcel, appearing as a Fontaine businessman in Genshin Impact, is actually Vacher, a Snezhnayan adventurer. During his travels in Fontaine, Vacher fell in love with an adventurer named Vigneire. In an underwater expedition, Vigneire came into contact with the waters of the Primordial Sea and was dissolved on the spot. In an attempt to revive her, Vacher kidnapped multiple Fontaine women of similar age to Vigneire and experimented using the Primordial Sea's water. To cover his tracks, he created the guise of Marcel, a new merchant, and erased his past as Vacher. He also secretly produced a drink called 'Sinthe' containing Primordial Seawater, which caused hallucinations. Marcel is the head of the Confrerie of Cabriere, which has close ties to Spina di Rosula. In the game, he is revealed as the mastermind behind a series of disappearances of women, eventually being consumed by the consciousness of his victims at the Fountain of Lucine.
