Cyrus

Cyrus, also known as Gulesh, is a multifaceted character in Genshin Impact. He serves as the Branch Master of the Adventurers' Guild in Mondstadt, overseeing adventurer affairs in the region. Additionally, he is a retired sage from the Sumeru Akademiya, where he was a teacher to Lisa and Cyno. In his time at Sumeru, Gulesh was renowned for his extensive knowledge and wisdom, considered a genius scholar of "once-in-two-hundred-years". He adopted the young Cyno and guided him into Sumerian society, having a profound impact on Cyno's life. While a strict scholar in the past, Gulesh now demonstrates a humorous and witty side. He also engages in a fierce tomato-growing competition with a former scholar named Zaha Hadi. In the game, Cyrus appears frequently, offering quests and assistance to the Traveler, such as in the "Snow Mountain Survey" series. He encourages and mentors young adventurers and is known for his legendary adventures. Although he claims that his adventure stories are exaggerated by younger generations, his heroic deeds still circulate throughout Teyvat. He is believed to be Bennet's adoptive father and also has strong friendships with other adventurers like Roald and Sumeru's Baba.
