Chongyun

Chongyun is a Cryo claymore character from Liyue in Genshin Impact, often fulfilling the role of a sub-DPS or support. He was born with a rare condition called "congenital positivity," causing an excess of yang energy that makes him very susceptible to heat. This also makes him a powerful exorcist, though ironically, his strong positive energy causes evil spirits to flee before he can even see them. In combat, Chongyun's core ability is his Elemental Skill, "Spirit Blade: Chonghua's Layered Frost," which creates a Cryo field, imbuing melee characters within it with Cryo. This can be used to trigger elemental reactions with other characters. His Elemental Burst, "Spirit Blade: Cloud-Parting Star," deals substantial Cryo damage in an area. Chongyun's uniqueness lies in his Cryo infusion and ability to reduce skill cooldown, making him a valuable support and sub-DPS character for teams. Though he doesn't excel with normal attacks, his Elemental Skill and Burst can provide significant Cryo damage and utility to the team when used effectively.
