Madame Ping, also known as Streetward Rambler and by her adeptus name, Gechen the Wanderer, is a beloved Liyue adeptus in Genshin Impact. She appears as a kind elderly woman residing in Yujing Terrace of Liyue Harbor, renowned for her wisdom and martial prowess. However, she once walked the world as a younger adeptus, with the name Gechen the Wanderer wielding a spear and carrying the Cleansing Bell. A powerful adeptus, she was involved in the founding of Liyue and shared a close friendship with the God of Dust, Guizhong. After Guizhong's passing, she chose to integrate into human society, living as 'Madame Ping', and took on Xiangling and Yaoyao as her disciples, teaching them martial arts. She also acts as a caretaker for Yanfei. She cultivates Glaze Lilies in remembrance of her friend, Guizhong. Madame Ping is a skilled martial artist, proficient in spear techniques, and possesses elemental abilities without a Vision. She also has a deep understanding of music and had many discussions about music and mechanics with Guizhong in the past. She gifted the Traveler the Serenitea Pot, further showcasing her profound adeptus skills.
