Lingyuan

Lingyuan is an ancient adeptus beast from the Chenyu Vale region of Liyue in the game Genshin Impact, also known as the 'Mountain Lord.' She is not human but rather a powerful Suanni, a mythical creature with features resembling a lion and a dragon, and has blue eyes. Long ago, Lingyuan was the master of Chenyu Vale before she became friends with Herblord (a white snake adeptus) and Fujin (a carp adeptus). The three adepti served a god together, but they later rebelled when the god attempted to flood Chenyu Vale. In the battle against their god, Herblord and Fujin were lost, while Lingyuan did her best to protect the local people by guiding them to shelters. Afterward, she retreated to the mountains, secretly reshaping the leylines of Chenyu Vale, hoping to restore the environment and help her friends regain their powers. In the game, Lingyuan meets the Traveler and Little Mao, revealing her past and some of her thoughts about humanity. Despite her majestic appearance, Lingyuan is actually somewhat naive and prideful, but values her friends and has a kind heart.
