Hanachirusato

Hanachirusato is a pivotal character in the Inazuma region's world quest 'Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual' in Genshin Impact. She initially appears in Konda Village under the alias '???' and guides the Traveler through a series of purification tasks. Hanachirusato is not an independent being but rather a creation formed from fragments of Kitsune Saiguu's memories, which is why she must vanish after the ritual is complete. Throughout the quest, she wears a mask and rarely answers questions directly, instead hinting at answers through other means. Her name, 'Hanachirusato,' is taken from the Japanese classic novel 'The Tale of Genji,' and literally means 'village of falling blossoms,' hinting at her ultimate fate. In version 2.7, her English name was corrected from 'Kazari' to 'Hanachirusato' to more accurately reflect the original Japanese name. Her background and story are deeply connected with Inazuma's culture and history, making her an impressive and poignant character in the game. It is also the name of Kamisato Ayaka's theme song.
