Azar

Azar is a character in the game Genshin Impact, who formerly held the position of Grand Sage of the Sumeru Akademiya and was the de facto ruler of Sumeru. He hails from the Haravatat Darshan and has a deep admiration for the previous Dendro Archon, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, while despising the current Dendro Archon, Lesser Lord Kusanali (Nahida). Azar is arrogant and self-centered, pursuing absolute knowledge and looking down on the arts. To achieve his goals, he colluded with the Fatui, engaging in the so-called 'God Creation Project,' in an attempt to create a new God of Wisdom. However, his plans ultimately failed, and he was removed from his position as Grand Sage and exiled to the Avidya Forest. In the game, Azar is portrayed as an antagonist, and his selfish and reckless behavior has drawn the ire of many players.
