Eide

Eide, whose real name is Chlothar Alberich, is a mysterious and crucial character in Genshin Impact. Originating from Khaenri'ah, he first appears in the version 3.5 Archon Quest 'Caribert,' which delves into the lore of Khaenri'ah. Eide was once a noble of Khaenri'ah who, like other citizens, was cursed with immortality after the cataclysm. He has an illegitimate son named Caribert, whose mother is from Mondstadt. Eide is desperately seeking a way to cure his son, even involving himself with the power of the Abyss. He introduces himself as 'Eide' to the Traveler, attempting to conceal his true identity and motives. Eide's story reveals the truth behind the fall of Khaenri'ah and the Abyss's schemes. Ultimately, Chlothar finds a way to rid himself of the immortality curse, implying his death. Eide is voiced by Andrew Russell, whose performance has been widely praised by players.
