Seymour

Seymour is a unique mechanical dog character in Genshin Impact, officially known as Prototype 4ACV07. He was created by Alain Guillotin approximately 500 years ago to protect his sister, Mary-Ann Guillotin, during her service in the Marechaussee Phantom. Seymour is believed to be the first thinking machine that Alain ever made, inspired by his friend Carter Scherbius’s idea. During a battle, Seymour was severely damaged and went into hibernation mode, later being discovered and repaired by the Melusine Mamere. Seymour’s primary goal is to accompany his master, Mary-Ann, and ensure her happiness. Despite memory damage, he remembers his mission. While searching for Mary-Ann, he embarks on adventures with the Traveler, Paimon, and Mamere. Eventually, Seymour learns that Mary-Ann's consciousness was absorbed by the Oceanid Lyris and merged to become Mary-Ann of Annapausis. Mary-Ann tells Seymour that his task of protecting her is complete, and he is free to live as he chooses. Seymour then decides to travel with Mamere. Seymour demonstrates a complex character and emotions in the story; he is not only a mechanical creation but also a loyal friend and guardian, with a unique appreciation for art.
