Virgil

Virgil is a suspicious character in Genshin Impact who appears in the Fontaine region. He is a former member of Spina di Rosula, who is highly interested in the treasure of a secret society called the "Liliacruces Forum", and aims to get rich through treasure hunting. Players first encounter him near the Statue of the Seven in the Court of Fontaine, where he invites them to explore underwater ruins. However, as the story progresses, players discover that Virgil is not trustworthy and is actually using them to achieve his own goals, even attempting to steal their Mora. After completing the world quest "Aqueous Tidemarks", players will meet Sonny and Luca, who are also looking for Virgil, and subsequently discover that Virgil and his subordinates are engaged in illegal transactions. Although Virgil betrays the player during the quest, it is possible that he will reappear in future storylines. In addition, some players believe that certain characters in Genshin Impact (such as Kamisato Ayato and Kamisato Ayaka) are inspired by the design of Vergil from the Devil May Cry series.
