Smiley Yanxiao

Smiley Yanxiao is the chef at Wangshu Inn in Genshin Impact, known for his rugged appearance, fair skin, and dark eyes. He was once a thief who was caught and beaten while attempting to steal from the inn's owner. After being bailed out, he became the chef, a job he now prefers to his former life. Despite his name, he often appears stern but is not without emotions, simply reserved in expressing them. His culinary skills are highly regarded, contributing to the inn's fame. In Liyue, he competed with Xiangling in a cooking competition during the Moonchase Festival, becoming a respectful rival despite his loss. Xiao is particularly fond of his almond tofu, and Yanxiao shows concern for Xiao due to his frequent absences and limited diet. He is also friendly with Zhongli, once sharing matsutake mushrooms and ham.
