Apep

Apep, also known as the Dragon of Verdure, is an ancient Sovereign of Sumeru in Genshin Impact. It was once the ruler of a thriving rainforest and had an emerald green appearance. However, it was corrupted by forbidden knowledge during its fight against the Heavenly Principles, causing its body to change color, its power to weaken, and driving it into a state of madness. Now, it appears as a weekly boss, requiring travelers and their companions to challenge it. Apep's body harbors unique elemental life and has a deep connection with Sumeru's ancient civilization. It is both a powerful and majestic dragon, and a tragic character, bearing the anger and sorrow of past glories and losses.
