Rana

Rana is a Forest Ranger in the Sumeru region of Genshin Impact, beloved by the children of Vimara Village for her kindness and helpful nature. She is rescued by the Traveler from a Fungi attack during a patrol, which begins the lengthy adventure known as the "Aranyaka" or "The Forest Book". Rana was once a child who played with the Aranara, but she lost her memories of them as she grew older, though her Aranara companion, Rana, remained by her side. During the adventure, Rana is afflicted by the Withering, and to save her, the Traveler must travel to the Aranara's home, Vanarana, eventually using the Bija to heal her. After completing the adventure, Rana regains her memories of the Aranara and receives a Dendro Vision, deciding to travel with her friend, Lanrana. Rana is renowned for her significant role in the "Aranyaka" quest and her touching story, leading many players to consider her one of the best NPCs in the game.
