Albedo is a mysterious and powerful character in Genshin Impact, serving as the Chief Alchemist of Mondstadt and the Captain of the Knights of Favonius' Investigation Team. He is not human but a homunculus, a synthetic human created by the alchemist Rhinedottir. Albedo possesses exceptional alchemical knowledge and talent, displaying a deep curiosity about the world and a passion for research. Despite his introverted nature and difficulty with socializing, he is very considerate of those around him, especially his assistant Sucrose and his 'sister' Klee. In combat, Albedo excels as an off-field sub-DPS. His Elemental Skill, 'Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma,' creates a Geo field that deals continuous Geo damage to enemies within it, and also generates crystallize reactions, providing shields for the team. His Elemental Burst, 'Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide,' deals AoE Geo damage and additional damage based on the presence of his Solar Isotoma field. Albedo's skills primarily scale with his DEF stat, making DEF a crucial attribute when building him. He also provides Elemental Mastery buffs for the team, enhancing Elemental Reaction damage. Overall, Albedo is a versatile character capable of both damage dealing and support, well-suited as a sub-DPS in various team compositions.
