Ioroi

Ioroi is a bake-danuki from Genshin Impact who resides in Chinju Forest on Narukami Island. He used to be the protector of the forest and often competed with Kitsune Saiguu until her death during the cataclysm 500 years ago. Unaware of her demise, Ioroi believed she was simply hiding and caused chaos across Narukami Island to lure her out. Eventually, he was sealed away by Kamuna Harunosuke, a former acquaintance of Saiguu and one of the Yougou Three. Players can interact with Ioroi after completing the world quest "Tanuki-Bayashi in the Forest" as part of the "Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual" series. Ioroi was tasked by Saiguu to protect Chinju Forest and had interactions with the Raiden Shogun and Saiguu. He mistakenly believed Saiguu was playing hide-and-seek, leading to his rampage. He was later petrified by Harunosuke but was discovered by the Traveler. He asks the Traveler to find other tanuki to play with. Upon learning the Traveler needed a comb, he provides it and sends Kichiboushi to help them. When the Traveler visits again, Ioroi mentions seeing Dragonspine across the ocean and wants Kichiboushi to travel Teyvat and become his successor.
