"Masanori"

Original Title「公义」

Languages:

  • Chinese: 「公义」

  • English: "Masanori"
Masanori, also known as "Kougi" in Japanese, is a character from Genshin Impact. Initially appearing as "Nameless," he becomes a recurring combat encounter after the World Quest "Dreams of Sword Art." Masanori's fighting style resembles that of a Kairagi: Dancing Thunder, but he possesses unique abilities such as periodic self-healing and full health restoration after his first health bar is depleted. Masanori's true identity is a skilled samurai who trained in sword arts with his friend Kenji Kazumichi in an unnamed village in Inazuma. Despite facing ridicule, they both joined the Shogun's Army and rose to the rank of Hatamoto. During a battle on Nazuchi Beach, Masanori killed a rebel soldier, only to discover he was an elder from their village. This realization caused him to question the war, leading him to desert the Shogun's forces and join the Resistance. However, he was soon killed, believed to be by Kenji. Masanori's death drove Kenji insane, turning him into the Kairagi "Nameless." Later, with the Traveler's help, Kenji gradually recovered his memories.
