Directed by Hayato Date, the series consists of 25 episodes. The story is set in the small, fictional town of Kimujuku, where a wanderer named George Kodama arrives in search of a man named Genzo Araki. George quickly realizes that the town is controlled by two rival crime syndicates. He decides to work for both factions to uncover the town's hidden secrets and Araki's whereabouts.
