Galaxy Angel (Japanese: ギャラクシーエンジェル, Hepburn: Gyarakushī Enjeru) is a Japanese bishōjo sci-fi/comedy metaseries created by Broccoli as part of their 'Project G.A.' multimedia project launched in July 2000. It includes anime, manga, and dating sim video games. The anime, produced by Madhouse, consists of four seasons and various specials. The anime and Galaxy Angel Party manga present a comedy story in an alternate universe, while the games and the regular manga focus on serious romance and action plots. The series follows the Angel Brigade, initially a team of five (later six) female members of the Transbaal Empire military, tasked with searching for the mysterious 'Lost Technology'. They often find themselves in humorous and chaotic situations during their missions. The series is known for its unique humor, appealing characters, and multimedia cross-promotion, leading to a musical adaptation. A sequel, Galaxy Angel II, features a new cast and storylines.
