Arcade Gamer Fubuki (Japanese: アーケードゲーマーふぶき, Hepburn: Ākēdo Gēmā Fubuki) is a Japanese manga series by Mine Yoshizaki. It was adapted into an OVA anime series. The series is set in 1984 and follows Fubuki Sakuragasaki, a gamer whose special gaming powers come from her "passion panties". She transforms into a winged magical girl form and wields a sword. The series pays homage to Game Center Arashi and includes elements from classic games like Pac-Man, Virtua Fighter, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Klonoa. Although initially a gag anime, it has been described as a preachy family fable that is too long-winded to sustain its jokes. The anime was directed by Yūji Mutō at Shaft and released directly on video. The first episode aired on television prior to the video release. The anime featured scripts by Ryōta Yamaguchi, character designs by Hideyuki Morioka, and music composed by Ryūichi Katsumata.
