Generator Gawl is a 1998 Japanese anime series produced by Tatsunoko Production, which aired from October 6 to December 22, 1998, with a total of 12 episodes. Set in 2007, the story follows three young scientists from the future, Gawl, Koji, and Ryo, who travel back in time to prevent their future from being destroyed. They discover that in their time, their country, Kubere, utilizes genetically enhanced humans called 'generators' as military tools, ultimately causing World War III, which nearly wipes out humanity. To change this, they journey through time to stop the gene code that led to this catastrophe from being discovered. In the past, they face challenges brought on by time travel, as well as battles against a mysterious scientist named Ryuko and her 'generator' assassins. Gawl possesses the ability to transform into a powerful warrior, while Koji and Ryo work towards completing their mission. They also form significant connections with two local girls, Masami and Natsume, the latter of whom holds a shocking secret.
