801 T.T.S. Airbats

"801 T.T.S. Airbats" (Aozora Shoujotai), is a Japanese manga by Toshimitsu Shimizu, later adapted into a seven-episode OVA anime series. Produced by Studio Fantasia and Victor Entertainment, the series was released in Japan as an OVA between 1994 and 1996 and licensed for English release by ADV Films. The story follows Takuya Isurugi, an aviation mechanic for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, who is transferred to the 801st Tactical Training Squadron, an all-female aerial acrobatic team initially seen as a dumping ground for misfits. Upon his arrival, two of the pilots, Miyuki Haneda and Arisa Mitaka, develop romantic feelings for him, exacerbating their already existing rivalry. With the team facing potential disbandment, Isurugi must find a way to help the girls cooperate and improve their flying skills to save their unit. The series blends romantic comedy with humorous and unconventional storylines.
