Mezzo Forte

Mezzo Forte (メゾフォルテ) is a 2000 original video animation (OVA) directed by Yasuomi Umetsu. Known for its over-the-top action, dark humor, and graphic sexual content, it's often considered a spiritual sequel to Umetsu's earlier work, Kite. The story follows the Danger Service Agency (DSA), a mercenary group consisting of Mikura Suzuki, the action-oriented member, Tomohisa Harada, the tech expert, and Kenichi Kurokawa, a former cop. They are hired to kidnap Momokichi Momoi, a mob boss, but get caught in a much larger conspiracy. Momoi's daughter, Momomi, is an even more ruthless character who relentlessly pursues the DSA. To survive, the DSA must find the mastermind behind the plot and resolve the situation. The OVA was released in multiple versions, including an abridged version and a director's cut featuring explicit scenes. Additionally, a TV anime sequel, Mezzo DSA, was released in 2004, taking place after the events of the OVA.
