それゆけ! 宇宙戦艦 ヤマモト・ヨーコ

"Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko" is a science fiction light novel series created by Takashi Shōji and illustrated by Takashi Akaishizawa. The story is set in the 30th century, where humanity is divided into two factions, TERRA and NESS, engaged in simulated wars using space battleships. Due to the deteriorated reflexes of humans in the 30th century, a TERRA engineer, Curtis Lawson, travels back to the 20th century to recruit four high school girls with exceptional gaming skills, including the protagonist Yohko Yamamoto. These girls pilot battleships named after themselves, such as the "Yamamoto Yohko," participating in non-lethal space battles. The series has been adapted into various media, including OVAs, a television anime, and manga, each with unique character designs. The story blends space opera, time travel, and gaming elements, showcasing a lighthearted and humorous style.
