Saber Marionette J

Saber Marionette J (セイバーマリオネットJ) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Studio Junio, which aired on TV Tokyo from October 1, 1996, to March 25, 1997. It is the first installment of the Saber Marionette franchise. Set in the distant future, the story follows humanity's efforts to colonize other planets after Earth becomes overpopulated. However, a ship called the "Mesopotamia" malfunctions, killing all but six male survivors. These survivors establish six nations on a planet named "Terra II" and reproduce through cloning and genetic engineering. With no women, they create female androids called "Marionettes" to fill the void. Most marionettes lack emotions until an ordinary boy named Otaru Mamiya finds and awakens three special marionettes with "Maiden Circuits" that grant them emotions: the energetic Lime, the gentle Cherry, and the voluptuous Bloodberry. The story revolves around Otaru's life with these three marionettes and their journey to confront threats from neighboring nations and help them develop into fully emotional beings.
