Tenchi Muyo! GXP

Tenchi Muyo! GXP (天地無用! GXP) is a Japanese anime television series produced by AIC, broadcast on NTV from April 3, 2002, to September 25, 2002. It is the fourth television series in the Tenchi Muyo! franchise and a spin-off of the original Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OVA series that began in 1992. Tenchi Muyo! GXP follows Seina Yamada, a teenage boy living in Okayama Prefecture, who inadvertently joins the Galaxy Police due to his bad luck and family's coercion. The story primarily revolves around Seina's adventures in the Galaxy Police and his relationships with several female characters, including Amane Kaunaq, a former supermodel; Kiriko Masaki, his childhood friend; Ryoko Balta, a space pirate; and Neju Na Melmas, a powerful telepath. The series is known for its humor, sci-fi elements, and harem-style romantic comedy. Following the anime, Masaki Kajishima authored a light novel series that diverges from the anime's plot and has become the official version of events. A sequel OVA titled Tenchi Muyo! GXP Paradise Starting, continuing the story of an adult Seina, was released in 2023, linking to Kajishima’s Paradise War light novel trilogy and the fourth and fifth seasons of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki.
