Someday's Dreamers (魔法遣いに大切なこと, Mahōtsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto, lit. "Things That Are Precious to a Mage") is a Japanese manga series written by Norie Yamada and illustrated by Kumichi Yoshizuki. It was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Comic Dragon magazine from May 2002 to January 2003 and later collected into two bound volumes. In 2006, Tokyopop released the manga in the United States under the name Someday's Dreamers. The series was also adapted into a 12-episode anime television series produced by J.C.Staff and directed by Masami Shimoda, which loosely follows the original manga storyline and adds new characters. The anime was broadcasted on TV Asahi and later licensed by Geneon Entertainment USA, before being relicensed by Sentai Filmworks. The series has expanded into a shared universe with two other manga series, Someday's Dreamers: Spellbound and Someday's Dreamers: Summer Skies. Someday's Dreamers: Spellbound was serialized from 2003-2006, while Someday's Dreamers: Summer Skies began serialization in 2008 and was also adapted into a live-action movie and an anime series. The original series follows Yume Kikuchi, a teenage witch who travels to Tokyo to apprentice under the mage Masami Oyamada, while the third series, Summer Skies, follows Sora Suzuki, a young girl with magical abilities who takes an internship in Tokyo.
