G-on らいだーす

G-On Riders (G-onらいだーす) is a Japanese anime series produced by TNK and Shaft, which aired in 2002. The anime is notable for its unique “glasses” theme, as every female character in the series wears glasses, including a brief shot of the Statue of Liberty. This design choice is intended to both parody and glorify the 'meganekko' fetish prevalent among anime fans. The series also incorporates other fetish elements such as maids, sailor uniforms, nurses, lolitas, and nuns. Set in the near future, the story follows a world where most of Earth has been conquered by aliens. However, a small region in Japan has successfully repelled them thanks to the development of “G-On” technology by the Grand Reflect Armored (GRA). This technology involves a group of girls (initially two, later three) who channel energy through special glasses. They use this power to destroy giant mechanized monsters, known as “Fancy Beasts,” sent by the aliens. Each episode is titled “Glass,” reinforcing the meganekko theme. While the original 13 episodes primarily featured fan service without any actual nudity, the OVA included nude scenes of many female characters and a mock bukkake scene. The OVA was not aired due to its adult content and was released as a DVD special.
