El-Hazard: The Wanderers

El-Hazard: The Wanderers, also known as Shinpi no Sekai El-Hazard TV (Japanese: 神秘の世界エルハザード TV), is a 26-episode anime television series produced by AIC in 1995. It's based on an original story, sharing the same universe as the previous OVA series, El-Hazard: The Magnificent World, but with a different plot and character settings. The story follows high school student Makoto Mizuhara, his rival Katsuhiko Jinnai, Jinnai's sister Nanami, and their history teacher Masamichi Fujisawa, who are transported to the fantasy world of El-Hazard due to an accident. In this world, a war is raging between humans and the Bugrom, a race of giant insects. Makoto and Fujisawa land in the kingdom of Roshtaria and quickly befriend Princess Rune Venus, while Katsuhiko Jinnai becomes the military leader of the Bugrom. The story revolves around their adventures in the new world, their battles with the Bugrom, and their search for a way back to Earth. Compared to the OVA version, El-Hazard: The Wanderers simplifies the storyline and removes or alters some key characters, making it more accessible. The anime is known for its unique fantasy world, entertaining characters, and lighthearted atmosphere.
