"The World of Narue" (Japanese: 成恵の世界, Hepburn: Narue no Sekai) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tomohiro Marukawa. The series follows Kazuto Izuka, an average 14-year-old boy, and his relationship with Narue Nanase, a girl who claims to be an alien. The story explores the trials and tribulations of this young couple as they get to know each other. The title is taken from A. E. van Vogt's science fiction novel "The World of Null-A". The manga was published by Kadokawa Shoten from 2000, with a total of 12 volumes as of August 2011. It won the Seiun Award for Best Comic in 2014. Additionally, "The World of Narue" has been adapted into a radio drama and a 12-episode anime television series, which aired on MBS between April and June 2003. The anime portrays the love story of Kazuto and Narue, as well as their interactions with other characters, including aliens and classmates. The anime incorporates some modifications to the plot and character settings from the original manga. The series also includes a spin-off, "Magicannon Girl Mk. IV," which exists as a play-within-a-play within the original series and was later serialized as its own manga.
