間の楔

"Ai no Kusabi" (The Space Between) is a Japanese yaoi novel written by Rieko Yoshihara, originally serialized in the magazine "Shousetsu June" from 1986 to 1987, and later published as a collected volume in 1990. The story is set in a futuristic world ruled by the supercomputer Jupiter, where humans are divided into social classes based on their hair color. The elite "Blondies" with blonde hair live in the capital city of Tanagura, while the black-haired or dark-haired "Mongrels" live in the slums of Midas. The story primarily focuses on the forbidden love between Iason Mink, a Blondie, and Riki, a Mongrel, while also exploring themes of class systems and social exclusion. The novel has been adapted into a two-part OVA anime (1992 and 1994), a 12-episode remake OVA (2012, but unfinished), as well as various audio dramas and soundtracks. The novel has also been translated into English and released in North America.
