"InuYasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass" (映画犬夜叉 鏡の中の夢幻城) is the second animated feature film in the InuYasha series. The story unfolds after Inuyasha and his companions seemingly defeat Naraku, only to find their peaceful lives disrupted by the emergence of Kaguya, a self-proclaimed princess from the moon who seeks to plunge the world into an eternal night of the full moon. To thwart Kaguya's plot, Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo reunite to confront this powerful new adversary. The film's character designs are more faithful to Rumiko Takahashi's original manga style than the TV anime adaptation. The plot is filled with action, adventure, and fantasy elements, exploring the emotional connections between the characters. It also incorporates elements from the Japanese tale "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter", delivering a visually stunning and captivating experience for viewers. The movie was released in Japan on December 21, 2002, and in the United States on December 28, 2004.
