"Chrono Crusade" (Japanese: クロノクルセイド, Hepburn: Kurono Kuruseido), originally known as "Chrno Crusade," is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Daisuke Moriyama. Set in the 1920s United States, the story follows Rosette Christopher, a nun, and her demon partner Chrono. As members of the Magdalene Order, they travel the country eliminating demonic threats while Rosette searches for her missing brother, Joshua. The manga was serialized in "Monthly Dragon Age" from 1998 to 2004, totaling eight volumes. A 24-episode anime adaptation by Gonzo aired from 2003 to 2004. The anime initially follows the manga plot but diverges significantly in the latter half. The series explores themes of time, fate, trust, and the power of individual will to alter one's destiny. The complex relationships between the characters are also a major driving force of the story.
