"Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!" (Japanese: デジモンアドベンチャー ぼくらのウォーゲーム!) is a 2000 Japanese animated short film directed by Mamoru Hosoda. It is the second film in the Digimon franchise and a sequel to the 1999 anime television series "Digimon Adventure". The story takes place shortly after the events of the TV series, following the protagonists' battle against a new type of virus Digimon in the digital world. This Digimon evolves rapidly by consuming data, threatening the real world and even causing a nuclear missile to be launched towards Tokyo. To avert this crisis, Tai, Matt, Izzy, and T.K. reunite and fight alongside their Digimon partners. The film is noted for its fast pace, dynamic action sequences, and its depiction of the internet age. It also explored the internet's potential and its inherent dangers, and the meaning of connecting with people through the network, which was later reflected in Hosoda's "Summer Wars". It has received praise for its high production quality and insightful themes.
