Guyver: Out of Control

"Guyver: Out of Control" is a 53-minute Original Video Animation (OVA) based on the manga "Bio Booster Armor Guyver," but differs in length and story from both the manga and the 12-episode OVA series, "Guyver - Bio-Booster Armor." Produced in Japan in 1986, it was released in the U.S. and Canada in 1993 by L.A. Hero. The OVA tells the story of Malmot stealing the Guyver units and being ambushed by Chronos thugs. Malmot transforms into his decaying zoanoid form and has a brief losing battle with Gregole, another zoanoid. After Malmot's death, an explosion scatters the three Guyver units. Guyver I is discovered by Sho and Mizuki. Sho then transforms into Guyver form and battles Gregole, defeating him. Subsequently, Sho is pursued by Chronos and fights Vamore, a zoanoid disguised as a police officer. Chronos then sends Valcuria to merge with Guyver Unit II, becoming Guyver II. Finally, Guyver III appears and kills the leader of Chronos's Japan branch. The OVA deviates heavily from the manga in character development, omitting Sho's friend Tetsuro and replacing him with Mizuki. Valcuria replaces Oswald A. Lisker, the original Guyver II host. Guyver III appears without explanation of his identity.
