Genma Wars

Genma Wars (幻魔大戦, Genma Taisen) is a Japanese science fiction manga and novel franchise that began in 1967, a collaboration between science fiction writer Kazumasa Hirai and manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori. The story centers on the battle between Earth's defenders and a demonic entity named Genma Daioh. It follows Earthlings with psychic powers, trained by the alien cyborg Vega and Princess Luna of Transylvania, to combat the Genma's conquest of Earth. The initial manga ends ambiguously, hinting at Earth's destruction. The franchise expanded into sequels featuring time travel and battles in other realities. "Genma Wars: The Chronicle of the Eve of Myth," an anime television series aired in 2002, tells a post-apocalyptic tale where humans are enslaved by the Genma. Their leader, the Maoh King, forces human women to bear his children for power. The plot involves twins Loof and Jin, who oppose the tyrant, trying to avert their desolate future by altering the past.
