"Subspace Operation Srungle" (亜空大作戦スラングル, Aku Daisakusen Srungle) is a Japanese science fiction mecha anime series produced by Kokusai Eiga Sha. It aired on TV Asahi and other related channels from January 21, 1983, to January 27, 1984, with a total of 53 episodes (52 regular episodes and 1 recap episode). It was broadcast every Friday from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM. This series tells a space opera story set in the vast universe and is popular for its unique mecha designs and thrilling plots. In 1987, Saban Entertainment combined "Subspace Operation Srungle" with "GoShogun" (戦国魔神ゴーショーグン) and released it as "Macron I" in the United States with a 20-episode VHS series. This version integrated the contents of both anime into an edited broadcast. "Macron I" refers to this combined work, which includes parts of "Subspace Operation Srungle."
