Tristia of the Deep-Blue Sea (蒼い海のトリスティア, Aoi Umi no Torisutia) is a PS2, PSP, and PC game developed by Kogado Studio, forming part of the Deep-Blue series, which also includes the sequel Neosphere of the Deep-Blue Sky. The game is set in the beautiful seaside town of Tristia, which has fallen into ruin after a dragon attack ten years prior. Players take on the role of Nanoca Flanka, granddaughter of the famed inventor Prospero Flanka, tasked with rebuilding the city. Gameplay revolves around simulation, where players build technological gadgets using blueprints and materials, selling them to townspeople to foster growth. The story has been adapted into an OVA, released as "發明工坊" in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the U.S.A., Russia, and Poland. A PSP re-release occurred on August 9, 2012, for the 10th anniversary, followed by a re-release as Tristia: Legacy on Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2023. In addition, there are two novels, a manga, and a two-episode OVA adaptation of the game.
