The movie follows a group of teenagers who are transported through time to different periods of Japanese history, getting involved in samurai conflicts. In addition to the movie, it was also adapted into a Family Computer game by Kemco, released on December 26, 1986. The story involves a man from the 25th century who steals a time machine and arrives in the 20th century. To get energy for the machine, he unwittingly pulls a group of high school students and their teacher into his escape. Together, they travel back through Japanese history, witnessing events such as the bombing of Tokyo, the Meiji Restoration, and the Battle of Sekigahara. They end up in 1582, where they become guests of Oda Nobunaga, just four days before his historical assassination. The time travelers then face the dilemma of whether or not to change the course of history.
