Okojo-san (しあわせソウのオコジョさん), also known as Okojo's Happy Apartment, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ayumi Uno. It was serialized in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine from 1996 to 2005, with the chapters collected into eight tankōbon volumes. The manga was adapted into a 51-episode anime series by Radix Ace Entertainment, which aired on TV Tokyo from October 2, 2001, to September 24, 2002. The story revolves around a white ermine named Okojo-san, who escapes from a pet store and is mistakenly taken in by a college student named Haruka Tsuchiya. Okojo-san starts living in the Shiawase apartment complex, where he meets other pets and eccentric human residents. He then tries to adjust to human society, including things like vacuum cleaners. The comedy relies on absurdity and Okojo's tendency toward melodrama.
