Final Yamato (宇宙戦艦ヤマト・完結編), released in 1983, is a Japanese animated science fiction film and the fifth film (fourth theatrical) in the Space Battleship Yamato series. The water planet Aquarius is on a collision course with Earth, causing the destruction of the planet Dinguil. The Dinguil people, seeking a new home, plan to flood Earth with Aquarius. The resurrected Captain Okita leads the Yamato once more to stop the Dinguil's plans. Through intense battles, the Yamato ultimately self-destructs to thwart the enemy, saving Earth.
