The series consists of 38 episodes, each lasting 25 minutes. The plot revolves around the Mogul Empire, an advanced civilization lurking beneath the ocean, launching an attack on Earth. To counter this invasion, Professor Yuri creates the Machine Blaster Corps, a team of four super robots piloted by four youths with the special "Elepath" ability: Gensuke Ishida, Tenpei Asuka, Jinta Hayami, and Billy Kenjo. The series highlights their battles against the Mogul Empire, as well as the complexities of their relationships and personal growth. It incorporated elements of superpowers and emphasized the importance of teamwork, standing out for its hard-edged depiction within the anime of that time.
