Magical Taruruto (まじかる☆タルるートくん), is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Egawa. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from November 1988 to September 1992. The story revolves around Honmaru Edojo, a fifth-grade student who accidentally summons a wizard named Taruruto. Honmaru is not good at studying or sports and is often bullied, while Taruruto is a self-proclaimed great wizard who is actually a student at a magic kindergarten. Together they go on various adventures and have comedic encounters. The series was adapted into an anime, including an 87-episode TV series broadcast from 1990 to 1992 and three theatrical anime films released between 1991 and 1992. The first movie, "Magical Taruruto-kun" released in 1991, is known for its unique humor and magical battles. The manga has over 12.6 million copies in circulation and was very popular in Japan at the time.
