Gall Force: Earth Chapter

Gall Force: Earth Chapter, also known as GALL FORCE 地球章, is an original video animation (OVA) series produced by AIC and Artmic. It was released in Japan from December 25, 1989, to December 1, 1990, consisting of three episodes. In North America, it was released by Central Park Media on November 11, 2003. The story takes place after Rhea Gall Force, after humans have evacuated Earth and relocated to Mars. The resistance forces left on Earth must hold out until reinforcements arrive from Mars. The series focuses on Sandy Newman and her team as they fight for survival against not only machines but also a quasi-religious group called “Geo Chris” seeking to restore Earth to its former green state, and an enemy named “GORN”. Heavily influenced by the 1988 film 'The Terminator', the series depicts a war between humanity and machines in a post-apocalyptic Earth. The main characters are reincarnations of the Star Leaf crew, except for one character who is actually a Solnoid survivor from a war millions of years ago. In order to fight the machines, they must locate and use unlaunched nuclear missiles to destroy the machines' headquarters in Australia. Earth Chapter is the third story arc in the Gall Force timeline, bridging the events between Rhea Gall Force and the New Era arc.
