Kujibiki Unbalance

Kujibiki Unbalance (くじびきアンバランス) is a fictional series originating from the manga Genshiken, where it initially appeared as a popular manga and anime within the story. It has since spawned two main anime adaptations: a 3-episode OVA in 2004, bundled with Genshiken DVDs, featuring episodes 1, 21, and 25 of a fictional 26-episode series, and a 12-episode TV anime in 2006 titled Kujibiki♥Unbalance, which is a reimagining of the original with redesigned characters and a new storyline. Set at Rikkyoin High School, where student positions are determined by lottery, the plot centers on the selection of the next student council and their trials by the current council. The series is known for its homage to and parody of typical anime and manga tropes, combining elements of high school romance, student council competition, and surreal scenarios. Within the world of Genshiken, Kujibiki Unbalance is affectionately known as “Kuji-Un” among fans and is a frequent topic of discussion and cosplay among club members.
