Peter Pan: The Animated Series

"Peter Pan: The Animated Series," also known as "The Adventures of Peter Pan" (ピーターパンの冒険, Pītā Pan no Bōken), is a Japanese anime television series produced by Nippon Animation. Directed by Yoshio Kuroda, it aired on Fuji Television from January 15 to December 24, 1989, spanning 41 episodes. This series is part of the World Masterpiece Theater, which adapts classic literary works. While faithful to J.M. Barrie's original Peter Pan novel, it also includes original storylines, notably the introduction of Princess Luna. Set in the fictional Neverland, the series maintains a vibrant atmosphere while exploring themes of adventure and battle. It gained international popularity, especially in Europe, Southeast Asia, and the UK, sometimes being released as “Peter Pan: The Animated Series.” This anime is unique within the World Masterpiece Theater series for its crossover with another series, featuring Rascal from "Rascal the Raccoon."
