Saikano: Another Love Song

SaiKano: Another Love Song, also known as Saishuu Heiki Kanojo: Another Love Song, is a two-episode OVA side story to the anime series "She, The Ultimate Weapon" (Saishuu Heiki Kanojo). Produced by Studio Fantasia, the OVA was released in Japan from August 5 to September 21, 2005. The story focuses on Lieutenant Mizuki, a battle-hardened military woman who volunteered for an experimental procedure to become the prototype ultimate weapon after suffering injuries that prevented her from returning to the battlefield. This OVA serves as a prequel to the main series, exploring Mizuki's experiences as the first ultimate weapon and her complex relationship with Chise, the protagonist of the series. Mizuki's development was limited due to her being the first candidate. The OVA explores the themes of war, sacrifice, and the loss of humanity through a different lens.
